Where I Admit My Stupidity

So, just a few weeks ago I was pumping up a new blog. New name, new look, new everything. And then, nothing happened. No big give aways, no new site, or pretty design. Nada. And this is where I hang my head.

I paid a so called company to put it all together for me. It was priced much below most sites, and I was thrilled. And to this day, I have gotten two emails from them.  Neither of which was my new design. Both of which are excuse filled. And I am ashamed because I didn't research the group better, and just trusted. So now I am in the middle of a Paypal dispute. So, I have decided to quit wallowing in my shame and self-pity, and just write here until things are settled.  I cannot hire someone else until I get my money back, and this has been my home for years.

I hesitate to link up to the design company, because I don't want to give them unwarranted traffic. However, I do feel the need to warn others of the negative experience I have had with them. If you were asking my opinion for a company to design your blog for you, I would tell you to steer clear of Budding Blogs. It's just been on big disappointment.

And, while we are on the subject, if you know of an affordable designer willing to work with a very small budget blog, I would love suggestions!

  1. I was wondering where your new blog was! Sorry to hear about your bad experience, Beth.
The person who designed my blog was very reasonable. She was just starting out at the time, but I think she would still be very reasonable. If you scroll to the very bottom of my blog and click the "design created by" you'll find her. :)

  2. Dear Beth, there is no excuse for not doing the needful. I am very sorry to hear that. I personally would recommend Webthemer.com They did a great website for Urunji Child-Care Trust a non-profit in Malawi and their prices are fair. The other advantage is that they actually design and develop themes meaning they know what they are doing.
